About Sally:
Sally is a Workplace Consultant based in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
She is a KEYNOTE speaker with a focus on RESPECTFUL WORKSPACES. She also has a fabulous KEYNOTE called "Carpe Diem", aka Seize the Day!
She arrived in Fredericton in 1982 to attend UNB Law School, never intending to be a lawyer. She wanted the degree for a stepping stone to being a Health Law Consultant . This was in, in part, fuelled by her many years of work as a Psychiatric Social Worker in a teaching Hospital in St. John's, NL. She obtained her LLB from UNB in 1985 and completed her Bar Exams. Her intuition was right. Being a lawyer was not her proverbial "cup of tea".
She spent ten years at the Law Society of New Brunswick where she excelled as the Director of Continuing Legal Education and Managing Editor of the Solicitors Journal.
In 1997 she continued her professional development obtaining certificates and practical experience as a Workplace Mediator and Workplace Harassment Investigator.
She taught at UNB in the Arts Faculty for 22 years in Sociology where she taught Law & Society, Restorative Justice and the Sociology of Law. She also taught Dispute Resolution for 8 years in the Faculty of Law.
She has taught numerous workshops on Conflict Resolution, Navigating Respectful Workplace Policy and Procedure, How to Conduct Thorough Investigations, Having Difficult Conversations and Mediation Skills Training.
She loves sharing her smile, her joie de vivre and her inspiring messages on large stages and in small meeting rooms. Her messages are life changing!
